Inteleos Names eMedical Academy to Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Education Provider network

Boston, US – September 5, 2022 – eMedical Academy recently partnered with Inteleos to be one of their POCUS Education Provider Network. This network includes independent POCUS Education Providers who have been vetted by the Inteleos POCUS Certification Academy to provide quality education and training experience to new and advanced POCUS users.

Inteleos is a global non-profit community of more than 123,000 medical professionals who seek to confirm that patients receive quality healthcare, by recognizing and certifying excellence in medical provider education and instruction.

According to the Inteleos website, “Inteleos is the governing and managing organization for the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography® (ARDMS®), the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement™ (APCA™), and the Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Certification Academy™. The Inteleos Foundation oversees the philanthropic work for the organization.”

The Inteleos website further explains, “As a certification organization, Inteleos asserts that medical professionals who perform ultrasound should be able to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities through standardized, rigorous assessments. Certification from an independent, third-party organization should be required to ensure best practices in quality patient care. This expectation of quality care should extend to all people in all health care settings.”

Specifically, the Inteleos Point-of-Care Ultrasound Academy gives clinicians the opportunity to work together in setting and improving global health standards for excellence in POCUS, through independent validation of POCUS knowledge and expertise. But while the Inteleos POCUS Academy provides the certification, they partner with other organizations (PEPs) that they have rigorously evaluated, to provide the requisite education that is necessitated by certification requirements. eMedical Academy is a recent PEP selected for this honor.

Regarding the addition of eMedical Academy as an Inteleos Point-of-Care Ultrasound Academy education partner, eMedical Academy Founder Dr. Achikam Oren-Grinberg says, “This is great news for us. The Inteleos POCUS Academy does a great service and to be chosen as one of their PEPs is an amazing honor. We look forward to a long relationship with the organization and those seeking their prestigious certification.”

About eMedical Academy:

eMedical Academy was founded by a group of critical care physicians with extensive expertise in Point-of-Care ultrasound in the management of critically ill patients. Following years of teaching ultrasound courses globally, it became clear that the demand for such courses could not be met by current in-person education. eMedical Academy realized the only way to meet this vast demand, was to make exceptional ultrasound training available online. Today, eMedical Academy’s mission is to offer expert ultrasound courses online, share knowledge, promote medical excellence, and improve patient care and outcomes with the highest quality in ultrasound education.
